Fairgrieve said he had examined photographs rather than the bone fragments themselves and saw fractures consistent with intense heating. Relying on Eisenberg's report, he accepted that human fragments had been found in the Janda burn barrel and behind Avery's garage; he said the reported inventory was consistent with one individual.
