Bobbie Dohrwardt testified as a Cellcom records custodian in Steven Avery's 2007 trial, identifying October 31 calls from Avery's phone and explaining the *67 caller-ID blocking used on two calls to Teresa Halbach. Cross-examination exposed a duration discrepancy for a later call and limits on what the records could show about voicemail and the phone's power state.

About
Bobbie Dohrwardt, a Cellcom records custodian, testified for the prosecution in Steven Avery's 2007 trial about calls listed for Avery's phone on October 31, 2005. On direct examination, she identified an 8:12 a.m. call to Auto Trader, calls to Teresa Halbach at 2:24, 2:35, and 4:35 p.m., and later calls to Charles Avery and Barb Janda. She explained that the 2:24 and 2:35 p.m. calls used *67 to block the calling number from the recipient's display. The court received the phone records and a summary after the defense did not object.
Cross-examination focused on what those records could establish. Dohrwardt said they could not show whether a call answered through another carrier reached a person or voicemail. She confirmed that Exhibit 359 marked the 4:35 p.m. call answered with an 11-second connection, although the prosecutor-prepared Exhibit 360 listed zero duration. She had first seen that summary on the day of her testimony and agreed its duration column should be amended. On redirect, questions about Cingular records drew objections; the judge limited her testimony to Cellcom and deferred the Cingular questions.
On recall, Dohrwardt interpreted Exhibit 361 as showing a final call associated with a cell tower at 2:41 p.m. and no associated cell site for the 4:35 p.m. entry. She described the later call as going to voicemail, while acknowledging that she did not know for a fact what the Icell column represented. Under further cross-examination, she said the records before her could not establish whether the phone was physically powered down.
