Crumpled RAV4 license plates examined and packaged after their discovery

Ertl testified on Day 2 that the plates had been found rolled or crumpled in a vehicle and reportedly opened enough to identify them as belonging to the RAV4. He said the area was photographed, the plates were examined for obvious fingerprints, and he helped package them.
