X-ray of the left occipital skull fragment
During Day 15 testimony, Olson identified item KQ at the upper left of Exhibit 398 and described bright spots that could indicate dense material such as lead. Jentzen described radiodense fragments near a beveled area in that exhibit. During Day 4 testimony, Eisenberg identified at least ten radiopaque areas near a defect in the upper-left occipital fragment of Exhibit 139, but said she could not determine the image’s viewing direction.

About
Jentzen interpreted the radiodense fragments shown on Exhibit 398 as consistent with metallic lead from a bullet; his interpretation of the skull findings supported his opinion that Teresa Halbach died from a gunshot wound or wounds to the head and that the manner of death was homicide.
