Photograph of Steven Avery's cut right middle finger
Tyson testified that he took the photograph during Avery's physical examination; it shows a cut on Avery's right middle finger with a measurement scale. Johnson said the pictured cut resembled a gash he remembered seeing, but he qualified his recollection of when he saw it.

About
The photograph was used to examine whether Avery's finger cut could have been a source of a contact-transfer stain near the RAV4 ignition. Stahlke called the cut a candidate source in Dassey's trial, while the court sustained a foundation objection to an initial comparison question in Avery's trial.
