He observed it from his vehicle and did not approach. Cross-examination compared his timing and recollection of the fire with differing earlier police accounts and established that he inferred Bobby was hunting from the direction Bobby drove. Tadych later agreed his recollection had been clearer in November 2005 and clarified that he had assumed, rather than known, where Barb went that night. In Brendan Dassey's trial, a stipulation stated that Tadych would testify, if called, that he saw Avery and Dassey beside a large fire behind the garage during the same evening period.
